Dear Plainfield,
It has been 10 years since we hosted the first community barbecue--this year, the First
Lady and I invite you to our 10th Annual Community BBQ on Saturday, August 19, 2017, from 4:00 pm until midnight, at our home located at
535 West 8th Street, Plainfield, NJ. As always, the BBQ is open to the entire
Plainfield community.
This year, however, there is an admission cost: Canned/non-perishable food items, as well as toiletries, for donation to our neediest Plainfielders.*
We look
forward to seeing all of Plainfield to celebrate this wonderful summer with you. A good
time awaits one and all--constituents, neighbors, family, and friends.
*If you are unable to attend this year's barbecue, please drop off
your items on our front porch at 535 West 8th Street, right here in Plainfield.

Thank You, Plainfield!
Dear Plainfield Residents,
I want to thank you for re-electing me to serve as your Democratic candidate for mayor for a second term. I also want to thank you for supporting Joylette Mills-Ransome and Steve Hockaday to serve as your Democratic city council representatives, along with the entire Column A team. I want to thank everyone who filed to run for mayor, for city council, and for county committee. Your should be proud of your commitment to public service. I look forward to the continuation of the many projects we have in store for Plainfield. The Madison Avenue Skate Park is scheduled to be completed by mid-July, the road construction program is continuing, and the many economic development projects are underway. As I stated many times during the campaign, "We've accomplished a lot--but we're not done yet." Thank you, Plainfield.
Mayor Adrian O. Mapp
City of Plainfield
