It is with great sadness that I must announce the passing of
former Councilwoman Joann Hollis, with whom I served as a member of the
governing body during her term from 2001-2005. Councilwoman Hollis defined the
meaning of public service through her work as a councilwoman, as a former
commissioner of the Housing Authority of Plainfield, and as the long-time community leader
of the Elm-West Residents Association. On behalf of the City of Plainfield, I
offer sincerest condolences to her family, friends, and loved ones.
